All Nightlife in Carmel

Nightlife in Carmel ranges from local music in restaurants and bars to theater shows at the outdoor Forest Theater, the Sunset Center or one of the smaller local venues.

Live music can be found in downtown Monterey on Alvarado St. or further north in Seaside. Both areas offer local concerts just a short drive away from Carmel. Monterey is also home to several festivals—including the iconic Monterey Jazz Festival—that bring big-name acts to the area.

Down the coast, Big Sur's Henry Miller Library hosts events and concerts, sometimes with last-minute performances from national headliners. Big Sur River Inn is another popular stop with local performers.
